Gecko HRM New Experiences cover with an illustrative overview of three optional extensions.

Gecko grows with you. As your organisation becomes more complex, the questions HR needs to answer change too. A department structure needs to be shared beyond the HR system. Managers need a clearer starting point for talent discussions. A local team needs to prepare country-specific forms using information HR already holds.

For a large HR team, a common platform still has to accommodate different departments and local requirements. The extensions highlighted in our 2026 product update show how Gecko can adapt to those needs, with focused additions for organisational administration, performance discussions and Croatian pension insurance paperwork.

What Does Extending Gecko Mean for Your Team?

Extensions add specific capabilities to Gecko. Administrative OrgChart, Performance Matrix and HZMO Lana / e-Mirovinsko are optional additions, selected according to the work your organisation needs to support.

Start with the task that keeps creating extra work. If HR rebuilds an organisational chart whenever another department needs a copy, start there. Or take a talent review where several sets of ratings are hard to discuss together. A recurring task makes it easier to judge whether an extension would earn its place.

When Does HR Need an Administrative OrgChart?

Gecko already has an organisational chart. The Administrative OrgChart extension adds an administration-focused overview of departments, job positions and employees, with options for using that information outside Gecko.

You can export organisational charts to Excel or PDF and job descriptions to PDF. The distinction matters when someone needs a usable file for a meeting, a review or further work, rather than a view inside the system.

Imagine HR preparing for a discussion about a department’s structure. The team needs to show the positions and people involved, then share the relevant job descriptions with authorised colleagues. A central overview and export options give that preparation a practical starting point, without drawing the same structure again in a separate file.

Before sharing, check that the underlying records are current and the export contains the detail its recipients need. An exported chart is a snapshot, so it is worth checking again when the organisation changes.

How Does Performance Matrix Support Talent Discussions?

Performance Matrix places employee performance and potential in a configurable visual matrix, including the familiar nine-box view. It gives managers an overview of their teams and helps HR calibrate ratings during talent discussions.

For example, HR might bring managers together to review how they have assessed their teams. Seeing ratings in a shared visual format can make differences easier to discuss. What evidence supports an assessment? Are managers interpreting the criteria consistently? What development conversation should follow?

The matrix gives the meeting something specific to examine. A position in a box needs context: the work someone has done, the expectations of their role and the evidence behind the assessment. Agreeing how to use the matrix is part of preparing a useful discussion.

The most efficient talent discussion starts with a clear view of the assessments and enough context to question them.

If your organisation already has a performance framework, bring it to the conversation with Gecko. The matrix is configurable; the appropriate setup should follow the way your team assesses performance and potential.

What Does HZMO Lana / e-Mirovinsko Cover?

This extension supports Croatian pension insurance administration. It uses employee data already stored in Gecko to prepare eM-1P, eM-2P and eM-3P forms. HR can review the completed forms and export an XML file ready to upload to the HZMO Lana portal.

Prepare the forms using existing records, review the information, then export the file for upload. For the HR colleague doing that work, reusing data can reduce repeated entry between systems.

The review step still matters. Check that the employee details and form information are correct before proceeding through the portal’s submission process. This is a Croatia-specific extension for preparing and exporting forms; your team remains responsible for the information submitted and the applicable requirements.

How Do You Choose the Right Extension?

Bring a real example of the work you want to improve. A chart you regularly prepare, a talent review format or a Croatian forms workflow will make the discussion more useful than a long list of possible features.
